Care4Mississippi, a non-partisan coalition of healthcare and advocacy organizations, is committed to working with communities and policymakers to create a Mississippi plan to expand Medicaid to low-income residents across the state.
“Governor Tate Reeves’s announcement that he will find additional funds to support our state’s hospitals is undeniably needed, but there is an additional policy option on the table that can strengthen our hospitals long into the future and provide health care for the more than 200,000 Mississippians who lack an affordable option for health insurance. As the Governor expressly noted, his plan is not going to solve all the hospital’s challenges.
